It all started in Southern, CA about 1971 when my parents gave me my first bicycle.  The day the training wheels came off, freedom was found.  When Evel Knievel showed us how to jump in 1973 on ABC Sports we all met outside and built our first neighborhood bicycle jump.  We realized at a young age without any formal input from our parents that having technique to pull it off and a method to prepare for what we were about to do made all the difference.
